BOKA NAVY PUBLICATIONS

Despite the fact that Boka Navy is nowadays mostly recognized for its ceremonial activities, i.e. appearing at town festivities and dancing the traditional kolo, it should be noted that it has always dedicated a great deal of attention to research of Boka’s maritime history and cultural advancement of its hometown, but also to developing its own trajectory. This has been reflected in its active cooperation with other cultural institutions, as well as organization of exhibitions and scientific conventions.

The Navy’s activity has produced major works related to its history and other aspects of Kotor’s culture, which were published by the Navy itself. Unfortunately, the copies were often limited due to insufficient funds. Listed here are some of its most important titles:

Čanak-Medić, Milka; Čubrović, Zorica, Katedrala Svetog Tripuna u Kotoru, Kotor, 2010.

Dvanaest vjekova Bokeljske mornarice (809–2009), monograph, Podgorica, 2013.

Dvanaest vjekova Bokeljske mornarice, collection of papers from international scientific meeting, Kotor, 2010.

Luković, don Niko, Prčanj, reprint in the edition of the Boka Navy – Belgrade Branch, Belgrade, 2010.
