Organs of the Boka Navy are: Assembly, Admiralty, Management Board, Supervisory Board and Court of the Seven. The Assembly may form other boards, which can be permanent or temporary.

 

ASSEMBLY

Assembly is the highest decision making body of the Boka Navy and it is composed of twenty members each from the central organization in Kotor, branches from Tivat and Herceg Novi, as well as three members from the Belgrade branch and all members of the Admiralty and the Management Board. 

Term of the Assembly members lasts four years, after which they can be re-elected. 

Regular Assembly meetings are held annually, while the election is held every four years. Both are convened by the Management Board at the suggestion of the Admiralty. Special Assembly may be convened at the request of the Management Board, Admiralty or 1/3 of the total number of Assembly members. 

President of the Boka Navy Assembly is Saša Milošević.

 

ADMIRALTY 

The Admiralty is composed of: Admiral, Vice Admiral, Chairman of the Management Board, majors (appointed by the Assembly at the Management Board and Admiralty’s proposal); captains, who simultaneously act as commanders of the divisions, Adjutant-Admiral and leader of the Main Division (appointed by the Admiral); Master of Ceremonies and Host. 

The Admiralty performs all the duties pertaining to the active membership of the Boka Navy, as well as any tasks delegated by the Assembly. 

Acting on the proposal of the Management Board, the Assembly appoints the Little Admiral. Little Admirals are chosen annually at the Assembly meeting on January 13^th, and have a one-year tenure. 

Admiral of the Boka Navy Kotor is Antun Sbutega and the Vice Admiral is Ilija Radović.

 

MANAGEMENT BOARD 

The Management Board is composed of: Chairman (appointed by the Assembly), three vice chairmen (two vice chairmen from the branches), who act as Chairman in his absence; Secretary (appointed by the Management Board), Chairmen of the branches, Admiral, Host and Treasury. 

Management Board is appointed every four years and its members can be re-elected. 

Management Board meetings are convened and presided by the Chairman, while meetings can also be convened at the request of the majority of Board members. 

The role of Management Board is to resolve issues that were not explicitly assigned to the Assembly or the Admiralty. 

The Chairman of the Management Board of Boka Navy Kotor is Aleksandar Dender.

 

SUPERVISORY BOARD 

Supervisory Board of the Boka Navy Kotor is composed of three members and three deputies. 

Members of the Supervisory Board oversee the activities of Boka Navy Kotor and its organs, with a special emphasis on financial matters. 

The Board is required to perform oversight at least once a year, after which it submits a written report to the Management Board and the Assembly of the Boka Navy Kotor during its regular meetings.

 

OTHER BOARDS 

Additional boards formed by the Boka Navy Kotor can be permanent or temporary. 

Permanent boards are: Board for Nurturing Maritime, Cultural and Other Traditions of Boka Navy Kotor and Board for Work with Boka Navy Kotor Youth (educational activities). 

Temporary boards are formed when a need arises to settle a specific issue.

 

COURT OF THE SEVEN 

This court consists of: Admiral, Vice Admiral, Commander, Chairman of the Management Board and Presidents of the branches. 

The Court of the Seven solves all disputes within the Boka Navy Kotor, as well as any appeals or complaints regarding irregular enactment of the Statute. Its decisions are valid and final.
